Accused Wesleyan Shooter Back in Court
|
Stephen Morgan, charged in the murder of Wesleyan University student Johanna Justin-Jinich is due back in court. Morgan is being held on a $15-million bail and his lawyer says that is excessive.
The shooting led to a virtual lockdown of the campus for nearly two days while investigators searched for the suspect. Morgan was arrested in Meriden after seeing his photo in a newspaper and asking a convenience store clerk to call police.
Morgan's attorney has said his client will plead not guilty.
According to the arrest warrant, after firing several shots, Morgan ducked into the bookstore's basement and threatened three employees before fleeing.
