Friday PM 11/13: At this time tomorrow night, the season opener will be in the books against Northeastern at Gampel Pavilion. The Boston Based Huskies are a young team that went 12-19 and 8-10 in the CAA. They feature 6-1 Senior Kendra Walton, who attended Wilbur Cross High in New Haven. Imagine what she'll be thinking tomorrow about playing in Storrs ? Always a treat for the state kids.

What to look for ? 1) point guard play. With Lorin Dixon out, it's Tiffany Hayes' ride now. In the long run, it certainly pays off developing the Floridian at that spot. And as the Huskies play bigger, more athletic teams...Like Texas, she'll need to be iin there. And yes, Caroline Doty will see time there as well. Kelly Faris ?? Stay tuned...

2) Kalana Greene. This is it. Final Year. Her first point gets her to 1,000. Needs consistancy throughout the season and if she can hit from the perimeter (not necessarily 3's), only a plus.

3) Keeping Tina & Maya Healthy...Really, need we say more here ??

Saturday is Banner Day, we mentioned KG's 1,000th...and Tina is 5 boards shy of 1,000. Only Rebecca Lobo & Jamelle Elliott are in that group in Storrs. Pretty impressive eh ??
