Big East Conference Opponets for 08/09

3:30pm - April 29th: The league released it's league opponet's schedule today and no shock here, UConn & Rutgers will again play twice next season. And they should considering their status as the top two teams in the league that put up some good tv ratings to CSTV & ESPN (us too !) No changes either. Just flip-flop the home & roadies this past season and you know who is where...But in case you want the 411, RU, Pitt, Nova, Louisville, DePaul, ND, Seton Hall & The Cuse' are home games. The rest on the road. (Cincy, G'Town, Marquette, PC, St. John's, USF, WVU and RU).

As far as I know, the non-leaguers should be LSU, Oklahoma, Hartford, & Holy Cross at home. Road games at UNC, So. Carolina, BYU, Penn St (at MSG) and the Carribean Classic in December in Cancun !!.

Now onto Pat Summitt. Not only is she offically divorced, she's been knocked down a peg or two in light of these "petty" allegations that were finally revealed late last week against UConn that led to her cancelling the series. It's sad that a coach of her stature could act this way. I guess Pat's ex players don't come back like Geno's players do. Or she just doesn't want them around. Either way, it's too bad Pat is not brave enough to say what came out herself about Geno & UConn. And like Joe D' mentioned last night and Jeff Jacobs mentioned in the Courant over the weekend, UConn shouldn't schedule UT any time soon (if ever). And to think, her team is the 2-Time Defending Champs. Go Figure...
