CL&P Beacon to Glow Red for Women's Heart Health
|
Drivers travelling through downtown Hartford or on the Berlin Turnpike may notice something different for the next month. Through February 24th, the white lights from the Connecticut Light and Power beacon in Berlin and the Northeast Utilities headquarters building downtown will be red. The aim is to draw attention to the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" women's heart health campaign.
For more information on the heart health campaign, go to the Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" website.
Since the first "Go Red for Women" events in 2004, cities around the country have turned local landmarks red -- including Niagra Falls, the Empire State Building, Graceland, Los Angeles International Airport and Times Square.
