New Britain Police say examination of a computer seized in a raid at a house where two suspected child sex offenders were arrested earlier this year has resulted in additional charges in the case. Police say eight additional arrest warrants have been served on one of two men arrested in January, charging 30-year old Jeffrey Brisson with nearly 150 counts of various sex-related offenses. Police say the new charges relate to the ongoing investigation into sexual contact with children involving Brisson and his roommate Harold Spurling at their apartment at 237 Washington Street. Computer evidence was seized at the time, and analysis of the computer files found evidence of more child victims. Police say they're hoping to hear from members of the public who may have more information about Brisson and Spurling.
The new charges against Brisson include 38 counts of first degree sexual assault, 24 counts of fourth degree sexual assault, 63 coiunts of risk of injury to children because of sexual contact , conspiracy and charges involving "criminal liability of the acts of another."
