GAME DAY

8:00 AM- A beautiful, sunny morning on the marina as we get set to spend most of the day inside a building. But trust me, there is NO place I would rather be today than broadcasting NCAA basketball than watching it on the TV. Last year 's abscence from post season play made me really appreciate all the more all the success that UConn has enjoyed under Jim Calhoun and how lucky I was to be reporting on those games.
The front page of the special section of the Tampa Tribune has Dick Vitale on the cover in a blue Cinderella gown. EEEEK.
The TIC trio watched the early games in the hotel sportsbar with Randy Smith of the Journal Inquirer and the Blogmaster, Mike Anthony of the Courant. Needeless to say everyone was honed in on the Duke-Belmont game and only one guy in the entire bar was vocally rooting from Duke. Lucky, they were real lucky.
I can't get the image of Dickey V in the gown out of my head. Back from the arena.
