NORFOLK, Conn. (AP) - Two Winsted teenagers are suspects in a home invasion in Norfolk after state police say the homeowner rammed the getaway vehicle.
State police say two armed men broke into a private home Tuesday afternoon and assaulted two people inside. They allegedly took several items and fled to a waiting car. But one of the victims, identified as Thomas Wilkeson, chased the getaway car in his own vehicle and rammed it, causing the suspects' car to flip. A third suspect fled on foot after the collision.
He was hospitalized and released.
State police arrested the two men after they responded to a report of an accident. The suspects in custody are 18-year-old Eric Castillo and 19-year-old Jesse Diaz. They face several charges including burglary, robbery and assault.
Both are being held on a $500,000 bond and are due in Bantam Superior Court Wednesday.
The search continues for the third suspect.
