Kevin wears many hats for WTIC. He alternates hosting "Sports Talk" with Joe D'Ambrosio and he's involved in the UCONN Football broadcasts. Kevin kicks off the broadcast day with Arnold Dean on the "WTIC Tailgate Show" , acts as a reporter for the half-time show and then wraps things up as host of the Post-game call in show "Husky Talk".
You will know Kevin from NBC 30. Since joining the staff there in August of 1996, Kevin has won four New England Emmy awards. He has also received 14 Emmy nominations and numerous honors from The Associated Press. Kevin's covered four World Series, the Final Four, the NFC Championship and the NBA playoffs. But he is most proud of the local stories he's produced in Connecticut.
Before joining NBC 30, Kevin worked at WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.Va., WUTR-TV in Utica, N.Y., and WYVN-TV in Martinsburg, W.Va. He also fills in for WNBC in New York.
Kevin graduated from Dickinson College in 1990 with a degree in English. During his college years, he was an accomplished athlete, playing for Dickinson on its football and baseball teams. In 1989, the Red Devils went undefeated for the first time in 52 years. Kevin was named a Division III All-American at safety after intercepting a school record 10 passes. He also served as captain for the school baseball team for three years.
He is from Bedford, N.H., and went to high school at Phillips Andover. Kevin is involved in many local charities. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and leads the Walk for the Cure. |
