WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP)_ State police say three people are being treated for injuries after a tractor-trailer rig hit a car while a man was changing a tire on Interstate 91 in Wallingford.
State police say the accident near exit 15 northbound shut down two lanes of the highway for several hours through the morning commute.'
The man changing the tire, a passenger inside the car and the driver of the rig were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
State police say the rig hit the car shortly after five this morning, pushing it off the shoulder.
