NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) _ State police say a New Fairfield couple died of carbon monoxide poisoning after their car was accidentally left running in their garage.
Troopers say Thomas and Marjorie Brown, both 75 years old, were found dead in their house Wednesday.
The chief medical examiner's office performed autopsies and determined the couple died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning. Authorities say there's no evidence of foul play.
Police went to their home Wednesday when a concerned relative reported difficulty in contacting the couple.
Neighbors say the Browns lived in the neighborhood for decades and had been preparing to leave for their annual winter stay in Florida before their deaths.
