STAFFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Authorities say a Nevada motocross rider has died of injuries from a crash at a Connecticut track.
Stafford Motor Speedway officials say 21-year-old Anthony Hart of Henderson, Nev., died after crashing during practice Saturday for the Doug Henry New England Grand Prix.
In a statement, the track said the event was sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association, part of the AMA XTRM Supermoto Championship series.
AMA officials were not immediately available for comment.
This is the second year that Stafford Motor Speedway has hosted the event, in which racers compete on the track's paved sections and on traditional dirt motocross sections in the infield.
