A court-appointed trustee overseeing the bankrupt Hartford community group One/Chane sues the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority.
Attorney Cynthia Jennings represents the trustee overseeing what remains of One/Chane. Jennings says CRRA owes the organization almost $10 million.
One/Chane says the authority should have paid the money under a 1999 legal settlement over the Hartford landfill, which is run by the authority and had once been opposed by One/Chane. She says some of the money can be used to pay creditors, and some can be distributed to other social service efforts. With the money, she says One/Chane can start doing its community work again.
One/Chane is currently NOT providing social services.
Larry Charles says he is once again director, after being ousted several years ago by the community organization's board.
Charles says he was reinstated by a new board.
