EAST HAMPTON, Conn. (AP)_ Police in East Hampton are investigating a two-car collision on Route 66 that has left one person dead and one injured.
Police say 19-year-old Matthew Rogers of East Hampton was driving his car east on Route 66 late Sunday afternoon when his car collided with another car,
Police say Rogers suffered minor injuries, but the driver of the other car was seriously injured and had to be taken by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital.
The driver was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. A passenger was also taken to the hospital. Police have not released the identity of either the driver or the passenger.
