About sixty cats are missing and a puppy was apparently stolen, after a break-in at the Meriden Humane Society.
Human Society employee Erin Cheney says the burglar came in through the cat room.
Cheney says a sliding window was pried open, and a gated cage was broken into.
Humane Society staff noticed the break-in Monday morning.
The puppy is a pit bull last seen wearing an orange collar and a green shirt reading -No Photos Please-.
Cameron has stitches from a recent hernia operation, and has a scab over one eye.
A 2-thousand dollar reward is being offered for the recovery of the dog.
Cat traps have been deployed, in hopes of recapturing the felines, which apparently escaped after the break-in.
