STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Published reports say Connecticut freshman basketball player Nate Miles has been expelled from school after being arrested for violating a restraining order.
The Hartford Courant is reporting that Miles' guardian, SeanPatterson, says that Miles was expelled following an administrativehearing Thursday. Reached by telephone by the Connecticut Post, Miles says he doesn't know if he will appeal.
A university spokesman is not commenting, citing studentconfidentiality rules.
Miles was arrested Sept. 22 on charges he violated a restraining order. According to UConn Police arrest records, Miles was served with a restraining order on Sept. 22, but violated it by placing a phone call to the protected party that day. That person is not named.
