ENFIELD, Conn. (AP)_ A Windsor Locks man has been ordered to have no contact with his wife or six children after being charged with the alleged severe beating of his 3-year-old son.
Assault and other charges have been filed against 25-year-old Daniel St. Hilaire in what the prosecutor calls the wholesale beating of the boy.
Police say the boy's broken collarbone and a hand print on his buttocks led to the arrest of the father.
St. Hilaire's attorney says his client did not cause the collarbone injury and that the boy fell while trying to climb a counter.
Bond for St. Hilaire has been set at $20,000.
