WASHINGTON (AP) - The Federal Election Commission has notified Republican congressional candidate Sean Sullivan that he missed a deadline this week for filing his latest campaign finance report.
Sullivan is running against freshman Rep. Joe Courtney, D-Conn., in eastern Connecticut's 2nd District.
Sullivan spokesman Andrew Powaleny said in a statement Thursday that the campaign was still working on the report and expected to file it ``as soon as possible.''
The report covers fundraising and expenses from April 1-20.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee called Sullivan's lapse a flagrant violation of federal election law.
