THE RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAIDERS
|
It will be a late night in Storrs this evening for the UConn men as they host Colgate in game two of the North Regional of the NIT Season Tip off Tournament. Win or lose, it's a four game event for the Huskies.
That's right, all these teams will be playing four games. Of course, the goal is to play two at home (eg, Duke,LSU, Arizona State and UConn) and then two next week at Madison Square Garden. But everyone plays four games. There are games next Monday and Tuesday at three other locations.
UConn isn't thinking about that, theHuskies are more concerned with correcting the mistakes from Friday night's win over William and Mary.
They are (in no particular order)
1)- Rebounding, especially off the defensive glass
2)- Getting out on three point shooters
3)- Running , after either made or missed field goal attempts
4)- Getting better as a team.
I would think the biggest improvement tonite will be from the four freshman who all (even Alex Oriakhi) looked like they had either a little or a lot of stage fright.
And of course, I would expect Gavin Edwards to play much, much better.
8:30 pre game,no Husky Talk afterward.
Enjoy the game
