I thought I had seen it all. Then in the final minutes of the Women's win at Marquette, Geno Auriemma had enough. Sick of the rough play by the Golden Eagles and some poor officiating. He instructed his guards to stay in the back court and let the shot clock run out. As he said " I wasn't happy with the way it was played. I wasn't happy with the way it was officiated. I wasn't happy with anything. So I figured why come down and get whacked again ?" Especially after Meghan Gardler drove to the hoop and was hit hard..no call. Then officials called UConn for a ticky tack foul at the other end....Heck at least two of the four fouls on Maya Moore left a lot to be desired....Eric Brewton was fine. As Mike Guerrera saw Geno at the airport this morning, it was the other two that messed it up...He was on his way to Cincinnati to do a little recruiting.
And how about that Tina Charles ?? Is she making a case for Big East/National Player of the Year ?? Uh, yes, yes indeed. Another top 5 team in Storrs Saturday Night...Rumor has it it'll be a heck of a day in Storrs. Gameday, then the Huskies and Irish Satuday Night. Rob and I will be there for Gameday . Hope you will be too.
Thanks Joe for the Props...Totally not necessary.. Stuff happens and you have to adjust. Who says our jobs aren't boring ??
Never...That's why we do it...See You all Saturday. Then the Cameron Crazies Monday......:)
