WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - West Haven police say a 14-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle while riding his bicycle through a busy intersection in West Haven.
The accident happened at the intersection of Captain Thomas Boulevard and Campbell Avenue just before 4 p.m. Monday. Police say the boy was riding bikes with a friend when they crossed in front of oncoming traffic.
The driver remained at the scene and was questioned by police.
The boy's name has not been released.
