Thousands in Damage at Railroad Museum
|
Volunteers at the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum in Willimantic say when they arrived Wednesday morning, they found broken windows and other vandalism totalling an estimated $10,000. Windows were broken on a re-constructed roundhouse; wals and windows were spray painted; the souvenir shop was vandalized, and several train cars, including antique train cars were damaged.
The museum treasurer says it's not clear if insurance will cover the damage.
