Towns Across Connecticut Observe Memorial Day
The streets of downtown Plainville were lined with people, as the Memorial Day Parade passed through the streets near downtown.

Before the parade started, some of the town's firefighters who would normally have taken part, had to respond to a fire in a building on Route 10.

Two of the children who marched said they understood that the holiday honors fallen veterans.

They also said their favorite part of the parade was giving out candy.
