NEW MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say an overnight collision between two boats on Candlewood Lake in western Connecticut has killed two men.

A spokesman from the state Department of Environmental Protection says they were on a boat that collided with another power boat around 1:15 a.m. Saturday.

The victims' names were not released by midday Saturday, but authorities say both were from New Milford.

One other passenger on their boat was seriously injured, and two people on the other vessel had minor injuries. All three were taken to Danbury Hospital.

The incident remained under investigation later Saturday.
