The UConn Huskies play six home games at Rentschler field in their fall 2008 football schedule, plus four Big East road games and two out of conference road games.
The season starts at home, with UConn playing host to the Hofstra Pride Thursday night, August 28, and wraps up at home December 6, with the Pitt Panthers travelling to Rentschler.
The Huskies face three non-conference opponents from other conferences in the Bowl Championship Series -- Virginia and North Carolina from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Baylor from the Big 12.
Coach Randy Edsall called it, "a very challenging schedule. " He says it "is a tough road ahead with our seven Big East games, four of which are on the road, and also a non conference schedule that features three games against BCS Conference teams and an opponent from the always-tough Mid-American Conference."
