LOYAL LISTENER CLUB
OFFICIAL RULES
 

No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Void where prohibited.

 
1. How to Enter to Contest:
 

a.       The Loyal Listener Club contest will take place weekdays beginning on Thursday, September 20th and ending on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007.

 

b.      To participate in the contest, log onto www.wtic.com and join the Loyal Listener Club (free of charge), if not already a member. Enter your fist name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number and a valid email address in the online entry form. The station is not responsible for difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. 

 

c.       Weekdays beginning on Thursday, September 20th through Wednesday, October 10th, 2007, WTIC will randomly select and announce the name of a Loyal Listener Club member (from among all registered non-winning Loyal Listener Club members at that time) at approximately 8:20am and if necessary at 11:20am and 3:20pm ET. The member whose name is announced will then have 10 minutes to call the station line at 1-800-953-1080 and identify him/herself. If the member whose name is announced calls back within the allotted 10 minutes, he/she will win, upon confirmation of eligibility, and the contest will end for the day, however, if the member does not call back within the 10 minutes, another member’s name will be announced at the next scheduled time of the day.

 

d.      At the time of their call, listeners will be asked to provide their first and last name, complete address, phone number and a valid email address.

 

e.      The station is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

 

2.  Eligibility Restrictions:

 

a.       The contest is open all WTIC (AM) listeners who reside in the Hartford, Connecticut metropolitan area in thestate of Connecticutand who are 18 years of age of older. Employees of Visit Florida, WTIC (AM), its corporate parents CBS Radio Inc, their affiliated entities, their affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Hartford, Connecticut metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.

 

b.      Listeners are eligible to win a WTIC (AM) contest only once every sixty (60) days. One winner per household is permitted in any contest. 

 

c.       Listeners are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six (6) months. 

 

d.      Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

 
3. Prizes:
 

a.   A maximum of fifteen (15) winners will receive a trip for two (2) to Florida, depending on the date of having won:

 

*September 20th and September 21st: Flight on coach from New York City on Air Tran Airways to Miami, Florida for 4 days/3 nights stay at the Crystal Beach Suites and Health Club.

*September 24th through September 28th: Flight on coach from New York City on Air Tran Airways to Miami, Florida for 4 days/3 nights stay at the Crystal Beach Suites and Health Club.

*October 1st through October 5th: Flight on coach from Hartford, CT to Tampa, Florida for a 4 day/3 night stay at the Tradewinds Island Resorts in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

*October 8th through October 10th: Flight on coach from New York City on Air Tran Airways to Hollywood, Florida for a 4 day/3 night stay at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa.

ARV per trip: $1,200.00

 

b.      All accommodations are one room, standard double occupancy. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for all applicable taxes, including, but not limited to hotel, hospitality and airport taxes, telephone charges, meals, gratuities, transfers, spending money and any other expenses not specifically offered herein. 

c.       All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of WTIC.

 

d.      There is no substitution, transfer or cash equivalent for prizes, except that sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.

 
4. Selection of Winners:
 

a.       Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.

 

b.      Winners will be selected as described above in section 1 of these Official Rules.

 

c.       Odds of winning depend in part upon the number of Loyal Listener Club Member.

 

d.      Winners must listen to win but need not be present to win.

 

e.      Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) days of winning or prize may be forfeited and no alternate winner may be selected.

 
5. Conditions:
 

a.       Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

 

b.      By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.

 

c.       Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

 

d.      The station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the station’s website or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

 

e.      WTIC reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the station, any competition or prize relayed event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed, canceled or has a change of venue, the station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

 

f.         Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the station.

 

g.      The station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

 

h.       Copies of written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during business hours at the main studio of WTIC or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to WTIC, 10 Executive Drive, Farmington, CT 06032.

 
6. Internet Contest Privacy Policy:
 

a.   WTIC (AM) does not sell, lease, exchange or disclose your personally identifiable information with third party non-affiliated persons other than our sponsors or partners, unless it is required by law, or disclosure is necessary to those persons that operate our website, manage our contests/events and conduct prize fulfillment (“operational providers”), and to protect the safety of our visitors, employees or property. We also expect our operational providers to protect your privacy.

 

b.   Our contests, sweepstakes and special events are often produced with the support of non-affiliated sponsors and/or promotional partners. The personally identifiable information contests voluntarily provide on our website may also be used for the marketing of additional events, services and goods by WTIC (AM), our parent company and affiliated stations, and our sponsors or partners. Please be informed that our sponsors or promotional partners may not have the same privacy polices that we do. If you do not wish to receive such additional marketing information or updates from WTIC (AM), and/or our sponsors and partners, you should check the boxes so indicated in the contest registration area. However, we maintain the right to disclose any and all databases collected by the website (s), in the event that the assets or stock of WTIC (AM), or its corporate licensee or parent company are sold or transferred.

 

c.       WTIC (AM) may provide aggregate statistics about our contestants, traffic patterns and related website information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will not include personally identifying information.
