Wreck Shut Down I-84 Westbound In Waterbury Monday

WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) - A tractor-trailer overturned and spilled lumber all over Interstate 84 westbound in Waterbury Monday, causing a miles-long traffic jam during the afternoon commute.
State police said the truck and a car collided shortly after 3:30 p.m. Only minor injuries were reported.
Troopers had to close all westbound lanes for about 21/2 hours during their investigation and the cleanup.
The cause of the crash has not been released.
