Brookfield Teens Arrested After Imaginary Tug of War Game Causes Accident
|
BROOKFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Brookfield police say two teenagers have been arrested after their imaginary tug-of-war game led to a real rear end collision.
Police say the incident involved the ``invisible rope game,'' a prank that involves two people standing on opposite sides of a street.
As a vehicle approaches the two get into a tug-of-war stance, pretending to hold a rope taut across the path of the vehicle. Cars slow down and the pranksters drop the imaginary rope and run away.
But police say that earlier this week a car driven by a Brookfield resident stopped short to avoid the imagined rope on Tower Road and was rear-ended by another car, sending two people to the emergency room.
