ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A man charged in the death of a drug dealer whose bullet-riddled body was found in an icy creek has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.
Federal Judge Charles Siragusa sentenced 25-year-old Eric Connolly on Monday to the high end of the federal guidelines for conspiracy to kidnap.
Connolly helped Noah Gladding kidnap Jason Argersinger at Connolly's Chester, Conn., home in February 2005, tying him up and stuffing him in the trunk of his own vehicle.
Gladding then drove from Connecticut to Pembroke, north of Buffalo, to meet with a Native American drug dealer who Argersinger owed as much as $500,000. Gladding later drove to a remote area of Genesee County, shot Argersinger three times in the back and dragged his body into the creek.
Gladding was sentenced to life in prison.
