Avian Influenza testing continues in Connecticut, including on the Hartford-West Hartford town line.
On the shore of the pond in Elizabeth Park, ducks gather around one man tossing out bread, while a second man quietly approaches with something that looks like a rifle, with a large orange funnel attached to the end.
The gun goes off, and the men rush to pick up limp ducks that have been snared in a net shot from the gun.
Agriculture Department Animal Inspection Service State Director Monte Chandler says samples are collected before the ducks are released.
About 6-hundred shorebirds are being tested this year in Connecticut.
Chandler says so far, NO cases have been found of the type of Avian Influenza that might spread to people.
