Police Release Name of Hospitalized Norwich Fire Victim

Norwich Police have released the name of a woman left in critical condition by the smoke and flames in a building on Central Avenue Sunday.

Judith Evans lived in Apartment Two.

She is 64-years-old, and is being treated at Bridgeport Hospital.

The building had eight apartments, and the Sunshine Farms store.

Two firefighters were hurt battling the blaze.

The city of Norwich's Human Services Department and the Red Cross are working to find housing for the people who lived in the building, and to supply clothing and food.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
