REST..... AND REFLECT
|
A week of rest for the UConn men as they get ready for the regular season finale at Pittsburgh (11:30 AM Saturday on WTIC). Wins over Marquette (best of the year) and Notre Dame (they did what they had to do) have the Huskies in postition to do what they set out to do before every season, win the Big East Regular Season title.
That is ALWAYS one goal, not the only goal but a very important one. Jim Calhoun has always held the regular season title in high esteem and the 08-09 Huskies have the chance to earn another regular season crown, the 11th in school history.
Or, with a loss, the Huskies could finish third and play the late game on Thursday night , the 12th at the Big East tournament.
Senior Day was one of the more emotional ones as Craig Austrie, A.J.Price and Jef Adrien all looked to be on the verge pf crying or actually crying. Whatever, it was nice to see the guys feel that way about their four years (five for AJ) at UConn.
All have had many more highs than lows at Connecticut and all will be remembered for their contributions.
Enjoy the week!!
