It's less than 24 hours before the NCAA pairings are announced (6 pm on WTIC-NewsTalk 1080 and WTIC.com). The debate continues concerning whether UConn is a #1 seed.
With Michigan State getting waffled by Ohio State, I would say the Huskies are a lock for a #1. Yes, they have lost three times in the last four weeks. Yes, they are not the same team without Jerome Dyson (just like Carolina without Ty Lawson and Oklahoma without Blake Griffin). But, once they get away from the Big East, I wouldn't be surprised to see them get back to the way they have played for most of the season.
Thursday Night/Friday Morning at the Garden was unbelievable. It WASN'T the Greatest Game ever played, to be honest, it wasn't even the greatest UCONN game ever played. But, for a lot of reasons, it might have been the most memorable. The setting, the opponent, the drama, the ebbs and flows made it an unbelievable night. It became a battle of attrition and give the 'Cuse the credit for surviving.
On to Selection Sunday !!!
