Police Make Arrest in Fatal Ansonia Stabbing
|
ANSONIA, Conn. (AP) - Ansonia police have arrested a 26-year-old woman on a murder charge in a fatal stabbing at an apartment complex over the weekend.
Tiffany Perry, who has addresses in both Ansonia and New Haven, is being held on $500,000 bond in the death of 22-year-old Jennifer Lewis.
Police were called to a housing project on Olson Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Sunday to investigate a disturbance. They found Lewis in a hallway with at least one stab wound to the chest.
Lewis was taken to Griffin Hospital in Derby where she died a short time later.
Police say they have seized several knives from Perry's apartment in the housing project, including the suspected murder weapon.
It could not immediately be determined if she had legal representation. There is no telephone listing for Perry.
