Rell Vetoes Hydroelectric Plant for Dam; Asks for Rewritten Bill

Governor Jodi Rell has vetoed a bill authorizing talks for a hydroelectric power plant at the Collinsville Dam . The governor says an error in the language makes the measure -- in her words -- "fundamentally unworkable." She called on the legislature to correct the language and pass the new measure, so the Department of Environmental Protection can begin talks with the towns of Avon, Burlington and Canton.
