STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Lawyers for a Massachusetts man charged in the killing of Greenwich real estate mogul Andrew Kissel are pointing the blame at Kissel's ex-wife.
Defense attorneys for 22-year-old Leonard Trujillo filed papers in Stamford Superior Court asking permission to introduce evidence they say implicates Hayley Wolff in the 2006 death.
Mark Sherman suggests Wolff had a motive to kill her husband, prepared for the crime and acted strangely in the aftermath. Sherman cites evidence that has never been available to the public.
Kissel was found stabbed to death in his home just days before he was to plead guilty in a multimillion-dollar fraud case in New York.
