Rell Signs Two Measures on Military

Bills affecting veterans and military families have been signed by Governor Jodi Rell. One drops the requirement that disabled veterans provide renewed proof of disability each year to qualify for a property tax exemption. The other expands eligibility for assistance from the state "Military Family Relief Fund" to eligible members of the armed forces not currently on active duty. Both take effect immediately.
