Child Suffers 2nd and 3rd Degree Burns in Sparker Accident

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Hartford police say a 6-year-old sustained second- and third-degree burns when a sparkler ignited his clothing.
The child was taken to Hartford Hospital and then transferred to Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston after the Saturday night incident.
Police say the sparkler is legal to use, but not by a 6-year-old.
