Norwich Man Charged with Sexual Assault

Ledyard Police say Michael E. McCormick Jr., 34, of Norwich turned himself in this morning stemming from an investigation that was launched back in May. The warrant alleges that between April 2006 and October 2007, McCormick had sexual contact with an underage victim, police said.
McCorcmick is charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $250,000 bond and was arraigned in New London Superior Court Monday. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
