Shooting Victim Identified

Hartford police have identified the victim of a shooting last Wednesday night as 30-year-old Jameel Williams of Asylum Avenue. Police responding to a shooting on Sigourney Street say they learned the victim had been taken by private vehicle to Saint Francis Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery and died early Thursday morning.
