STORRS- Forget the calendar, winter has come to this quaint little college town ITS SNOWING...ITS OCTOBER 15TH (better known for being the birthday of my boss, the incomperable Jenneen L.Lee). But, the Huskies are up on the Hill practicing outdoors since it doesnt sound like the weather forecast is much better for Saturday (I dont think we are expecting snow in East Hartford)
Much like the Huskies, Louisville has changed quarterbacks due to injury.When N.C.State transfer Justin Burke went down with an injur, juco signal caller Adam Froman took over ,starting the last two games...To be honest, it really doesnt change the UL attack, though Froman is more likely to scramble when things break down. Louisville still wants to hand the ball off to Victor Anderson and Bilal Powell and pass to Trent Guy,Scott Long and Doug Beaumont.
The strength of the defense is the front seven, led by middle linebacker Jon Dempsey. Their secondary has endured an amazing amount of injuries so if the weather permits, UConn might try to attack via the air.
No Scott Lutrus on Saturday, both Twyon Martin and Robbie Frey expected to play.
Coaches show tonite @ 610 from the Burton Family Football Complex, the guests will be Jordan Todman and jasper Howard.
Tomorrow night from 6-8, a special edition of SportsTalk from Gampel where First Night will be held from 7-8.
