Three Year Old Found After Wandering from Home; Mother Charged

Manchester police say a 26-year-old mother is charged with risk of injury to a minor after her three year old son wandered away from home, crossed a roadway with heavy traffic and was found at the Big Y Supermarket on Tolland Turnpike.
Police say the boy was wearing an adult sweater and water-soaked pajama bottoms. It was more than half an hour between the time he was reported found and the time his mother, Kristen Purrott of Parker Street, was located.
