Manchester Woman's Court Appearance Delayed in Old Saybrook Death

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (AP) _ A Connecticut woman has been arrested in connection with the death of her 57-year-old boyfriend, who was run over by a car in Old Saybrook last year.
Police charged 50-year-old Elena Hernandez of Manchester with felony evading responsibility, but stopped short of accusing her of running over Felix Diaz of Middletown in a hotel parking lot on Nov. 16, 2008.
Hernandez is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. WTNH-TV reports her Monday court appearance was postponed because she was hospitalized. Officials did not provide any details.
Police say Hernandez and Diaz were together the day he was struck in the Comfort Inn parking lot. Authorities say Hernandez told them she drove her car from a restaurant to the hotel.
     Police are still investigating.
It's not clear if Hernandez has a lawyer.
