The Home of Beer...& Golden Eagles

Greetings from Milwaukee !! It's another night of Women's BB as the Huskies visit Marquette tonight (7:30 on 96.5 TIC FM).
Practice today was pretty good at the end when Maya, Meg and Caroline took turns trying to make 3 pointers while sitting down at the UConn Bench. Lot's of clangers and airballs, then of course Miss Moore made one. Shocked ??

About as shocked as I'll be if the Huskies don't win tonight. Yes, Marquette is 8-1 at home (Wisconsin) but we all know how hard these girls work and strive to be perfect in the Geno Scheme of things. They do have Angel Robinson, one of three Unanimous PreSeason All Big East picks. But as we all know, that won't be enough against the Huskies. And UConn has this thing about making the leading scorers look bad..Just ask UNC.

Tina Charles is playing out of her mind right now. No wonder the CT Sun wanted  the No 1 pick so badly. And they got Renee Montgomery in the process. What a deal !! But a lot can happen over the next few months. If Tina plays the way she is capable of, the Huskies are in good shape. (Really ?? Duh !!)  No Heather Buck tonight (ankle)..otherwise UConn is good to go. Also, no Kara tonight. She did something nasty to her back last night and didn't make the trip this morning. So, you get me for 3 hours...I know, contain yourselves from all the excitement. (ho hum).

Then it's a big day for Women's College Hoops and the Big East when College Game Day arrives in Storrs for the Notre Dame Game. The weather looks ok, come on out and show the nation just how much you love UConn Women's Basaketball...And the students start arriving back on Campus this weekend, making the game Saturday even better. I plan on going Saturday Morning, mainly because Rob wants to go. Either way, should be a good time. Remember, with the Guys playing at 6:30 on 1080 and the network, we'll be over on the FM (96.5) for all the action at 7:30. Hope you can join us !
