Is now the time to pull up Caladium bulbs and what do we do w/them and when to plant again - also how effective do you think "Preen" is after weeding? TY

Hi.....I have a very healthy Rose of Sharon bush that is very green and has hundreds of buds on it,it is on the south side of the house and gets plenty of sun. My problem is that every year out of hundreds of bulbs only a few flowers pop out, the bulbs are ready but it never happens & this bush is about 6-7 years old. thanks

Organic Lawn Care
Just some feedback. Our new house lawn has been in one year. I reseeded in the fall of 2006 and after using a traditional startup fertilizer, I switched to Milorganite at about half dose and a little more often than recommended. This plus lime is all I have used. What I find is that where there was decent sandy loam soil in the first place, the lawn is nice (a dark green). Where the backfill is like gravel dust, the lawn is pretty sparce. So I will be top dressing. Anyhow, Milorganite seems to work fine. There are a lot of weeds though. Next year I will have to address that.
