And a Way We Go !!

Friday PM 11/13: At this time tomorrow night, the season opener will be in the books against Northeastern at Gampel Pavilion. The Boston Based Huskies are a young team that went 12-19 and 8-10 in the CAA. They feature 6-1 Senior Kendra Walton, who attended Wilbur Cross High in New Haven. Imagine what she'll be thinking tomorrow about playing in Storrs ?
The Final Tuneup....

Monday 11/9: The Huskies get one last chance to shore things up before the season opener Saturday with Northeastern when they host NAIA Power Vanguard University tonight at the XL Center (6:30 pregame). The Lions have played 4 games already against Division I teams in Stanford, Cal & Arizona State. (losses) and they actually beat San Francisco of the WCC.
First Impressions of the ladies

Well here we are, a week from the first broadcast of the season (Exhibition v St. Rose) and the Huskies as you may guess are hard at work preparing for another season. I spent roughly an hour and a half watching practice Tuesday and here are some of my first observations on the 09-10 Huskies. This will be another talented, hungry bunch prepared to repeat as Champs...

A Rewarding, Memorable Day

Saturday 8:10pm - The Football Huskies should be rolling onto Campus shortly. Four points shy of a first ever win over West Virginia. But Noel Devine and the Mountaineers had other ideas at the end. The effort in Morgantown can't and shouldn't be questioned. I can't imagine how Dave Teggart feels tonight. But this I can tell you, this young team isn't very far away from being really good.
Dinner of Champions

Ok, vacation has been over for a month with the start of Football. But last night, the 2008-09 Huskies assembled together one last time with 700 friends and fans to celebrate the 6th National Championship in the programs history. Complete with new shiny rings. A few observations....Renee got sick of losing fast in Minnesota and appreciates even more what UConn Basketball is all about.

Happy Summer !!

7/23/09 - First off, enough rain already !! It's been crazy here in Coventry since Memorial Day Weekend. According to Joe Furey, we had 6-8 inches of rain here that Sunday that left my entire basement floor with about 2 inches of water. And add to all the rainouts of the Legion Baseball Season has left this past 4 weeks full of baseball.
